Empowering individuals with diverse support needs to experience meaningful community access, sensory exploration, and fully modified activity participation.
Our Functional Integrated Living Skills (FILS) Program celebrates individuality by providing tailored, person-centered support for individuals with high-support medical, physical, or sensory needs. Operating with a specialized 3:1 ratio, we mindfully adapt every daily routine and experience to ensure that each individual can actively engage, express their creativity, and connect with peers at the level that works best for them.
Here is how we support each individual's unique journey:
Individualized Care & Modified Participation: Our staff specializes in adapting activities so that all individuals can participate effectively. For example, in a textiles or sewing activity, we support an individual with limited mobility and low vision through rich sensory experiences—exploring the distinct tactile differences of diverse fabrics, yarns, and threads to ensure full, meaningful inclusion.
Creative & Lifelong Learning: We offer daily schedules with an array of flexible options, including adaptive cooking, self-advocacy, wellness, and expressive arts, ensuring individuals can continuously explore personal passions in a safe, accommodating environment.
How to Get Started
To join the FILS program, individuals must first receive a referral from their Alta California Regional Center.. Visit our How We Work page to learn more information about our referral process.
