How to Access Our Services
We help individuals of all ages with disabilities live more independent and fulfilling lives.
Most of our services begin with a referral from a regional center, medical provider, or health insurance provider, though some services can also be secured directly. If you are unsure of where to start, our administrative team is always here to help guide you through the process.
What is a Regional Center?
The Regional Center system is unique to California. It is made up of community-based, non-profit agencies that provide lifelong services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Regional Centers contract with the State of California through the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to help:
- Verify Eligibility: Determine if an individual qualifies for state-funded services.
- Create Care Plans: Help families build a personalized, person-centered care plan.
- Connect to Providers: Coordinate and fund services through trusted community partners like Easterseals.
Your Local Regional Center Referral
For the greater Sacramento-area footprint, our local partner agency is the Alta California Regional Center. Individuals and families can connect with their dedicated Service Coordinator directly to request a formal referral to our Easterseals programs.
Daily Support Across Superior California
Our support is tailored to fit the needs of individuals at every stage of life, and we proudly provide services across all 13 counties of our region. Working as a cohesive team, we ensure each individual gets the right kind of help—whether it’s learning life skills, finding a job, or receiving specialized pediatric therapy.
Our Available Services
Pediatric Therapy: Specialized early intervention programs and therapies (including speech, physical, occupational, and child development services) help children from birth to age 5 meet essential developmental milestones.
Adult Day Programs: Our individually focused programs (including ACE IT and FILS) combine structured, adaptive programming at our dedicated centers with community outings to help individuals build advanced independence and life skills.
Vocational & Employment Pathways: Our Vocational Program provides individuals with disabilities hands-on training and customized support to develop crucial job skills, increase independence, and achieve their self-determined career goals.
