Ready, Set, Walk is a play-based group program designed for young children working on mobility goals. Through structured activities, we support children in developing independent movement, peer interaction, and community participation.
A Collaborative Initiative
This program is a joint effort between Easterseals Superior California and California State University, Sacramento (CSUS). By combining the expertise of our experienced pediatric clinicians with future physical therapists from CSUS, we provide evidence-based care in a supportive, engaging group environment.
What to Expect
Children participate in 45-minute group sessions led by pediatric physical therapists. The environment is structured around exploration, communication, and play, allowing children to practice moving and interacting alongside peers.
Areas of Focus
Independent mobility provides children with direct opportunities to engage with their surroundings. Our program supports children as they:
Develop independent mobility and movement skills.
Build confidence through play and active exploration.
Engage in social interactions with peers and caregivers.
Navigate and participate in home, school, and community settings.
Increase autonomy in accessing toys, activities, and routines.
