Easter Seals Superior California, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting people with disabilities, announced that Gary Kasai, its longtime chief executive officer, will retire in September 2027 after 32 years of leadership.
During Kasai's tenure, Easter Seals Superior California expanded its services, strengthened its financial foundation and advanced innovative programs that have helped clients and families thrive. His measured approach to client care, organizational stability and program development positioned the nonprofit for continued impact across the communities it serves.
“Gary's impact on our organization has allowed us to expand our services and reach while strengthening our financial position so we can continue serving our community well into the future,” said Anker Christensen, board chairman. “We are grateful for his countless contributions and unwavering support of our mission. He will be difficult to replace.”

The Board of Directors will lead a thoughtful CEO transition process over the next year, with Kasai supporting the identification, selection and preparation of the organization's next leader before his retirement date.
